What age can my child start at Tanzeel?

We welcome children from age 4 up to 16 years old. Our "Little Muslims" foundation classes are specially designed with playful phonics, interactive storytelling, and Arabic letter recognition for children aged 4 to 6. Older children (ages 7–16) are placed into our 6-stage structured curriculum based on their reading proficiency.
Does my child need to take an entry assessment?

Yes, all new admissions participate in a friendly, low-stress 15-minute informal assessment before their first session. This allows our academic coordinators to accurately assess your child's current Quran recitation, Arabic phonics, and prior Islamic studies, placing them in the exact stage (from Foundation to Level 5) that best supports their confidence and growth.
What syllabus and textbooks do you use?

We follow the internationally accredited Safar Academy curriculum series for Islamic Studies, Du'as, and Tajweed Qa'idah. For our Arabic language modules, we utilize the renowned Madinah Arabic Book series, teaching pupils reading comprehension, vocabulary, and fundamental Arabic grammar so they understand the Quran they recite.

Communication is at the heart of Tanzeel. Every pupil receives an individual Tanzeel Homework Diary where weekly surah revision, Qa'idah pages, and teacher comments are logged. Parents receive four formal written progress reports per academic year, and two scheduled parent-teacher consultation meetings where you can discuss your child's development in detail.
What are the class timings for Weekend and Weekday courses?

Weekend Schools (Saturdays or Sundays): 3 hours per session, with Morning (9:30am – 12:30pm) and Afternoon (1:30pm – 4:30pm) options across all 12 London schools.
Weekday Schools: Whitechapel school runs Monday to Friday (5:00pm – 7:00pm, 10 hrs/week); Ilford school runs Monday to Thursday (5:00pm – 7:00pm, 8 hrs/week).
How does the 6-stage structured syllabus work?

Our curriculum is divided into 6 distinct stages: Foundation (Arabic letter phonics & shapes), Level 1 (word formation & basic tajweed), Level 2 (fluent reading & Juz Amma memorisation), Level 3 (complete Quran recitation with rules), Level 4 (advanced tajweed theory & surah memorisation), and Level 5 (hifdh mastery). Students who complete Level 5 can advance to our prestigious IJAZA programme with Sanad certification.
What is your policy on discipline and classroom conduct?

We cultivate a positive, nurturing environment rooted in Prophetic manners (Akhlaq) and mutual respect. We do not use punitive measures; instead, our teachers use encouragement, reward stamp systems, and weekly achievement awards. In cases where extra support is needed, school coordinators work directly with parents in a collaborative partnership.
What should we do if our child is unwell or unable to attend?

Regular attendance is essential for Quranic progression. If your child will be absent due to illness, please notify your school coordinator via WhatsApp or phone before 9:00am on the day of class. The teacher will note the missed lesson in your child's diary and supply the home practice schedule so they don't fall behind.
Do you offer a Summer Holiday School?

Yes! Our Summer School 2026 takes place from 20 July to 6 August 2026 (Monday–Thursday, 10:00am to 3:00pm) across our central London schools. It features intensive Quranic revision, engaging Islamic history and Seerah, fun arts, crafts, and sports activities. Places are limited to 50 pupils per school.
